Ingredients

  • 4 cups ripe peaches peeled and pitted
  • small bunch of fresh basil about 8-10 leaves
  • 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup adjust to taste
  • 1 cup ice cubes
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice freshly squeezed

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Peeler

Method

  1. Peel the peaches carefully with a peeler, then cut and remove the pits before placing the flesh in your blender.
  2. Add the fresh basil leaves directly onto the peaches in the blender, along with honey, lemon juice, and ice cubes.
  3. Blend everything on high speed until the mixture is smooth, creamy, and well combined; this should take about 30-40 seconds.
  4. Check the consistency; if it's too thick, add a splash of cold water and blend again briefly.
  5. Pour the vibrant orange-pink slushie into glasses, ensuring each glass gets some basil leaves for a fresh garnish.
  6. Serve immediately with a straw or a sprig of basil for a fragrant, icy treat.

Notes

Peeling the peaches ensures a silky texture. Adjust sweetness by adding more honey if desired. For extra flavor, consider garnishing with additional basil leaves or a slice of peach.
